Sumitomo T-25
The Sumitomo T-25 fusion splicer is designed for fibre to the home (FTTH or FTTx) or LAN/datacom use, or for splicing anywhere that light weight, easy use and portability are important. Its unique shape & small size allow you to place the splicer closer to the work area than previously possible; letting you splice short fibre lengths or work in confined spaces.

All Sumitomo T-25’s fusion splicer include an Arc Test function that automatically optimises the arc power for the working environment and the fibres to be spliced. A white LED illuminates the V-groove area, making it easier to work with the splicer in low light conditions.The Sumitomo T-25 fusion splicer family offers a choice of fibre handling systems for single fibre splicing. Fibre holders – excellent for the inexperienced users; or traditional coating clamps on the –L units, which many experienced user find faster and easier to work with.

In addition to splicing 250um primary coated fibre and 900um tight buffer secondary coated fibre, the coating clamps of the –L versions are designed to allow easy splicing of loose buffer / loose tube secondary coated fibres with a 20mm strip length. On a loose tube to loose tube splice this allows the tube ends to be rejoined using a single 60mm splice protection sleeve.
